8th Grade Top 20 Evaluations
#22 Eric Rivers was a super explosive athlete. One of the fastest kids in the camp from end to end with the ball. He was excellent in transition and always made the right decision with the ball. He is a very unselfish kid. He finished well while attacking the basket. He needs to continue to work on his midrange and 3pt range shots.
#436 Michael Lucarotti this kid had a solid camp performance. He plays with a high motor, solid handles, and a consistent jumpshot. He showed he can play inside and out. He also attacked the glass on the defensive and offensive end.
#403 Deandre Boyd is a big time athlete. He has a grown man body that allowed him to get to the rim at will. He is a lockdown defender as well. Good form on his shot, so with work, it can become a consistent weapon for him.
# 372 Colin Albert is a great athlete and elite defender. Colin will make his money on the defensive end, He can pick up full court and lock down. He has great footwork and quickness allows him to shut down his opponent. One of the top 5 point guards in Ohio.
#223- Trevor Taylor has one of the purest jump shots at the camp. He has the ability to be a very good all-around player. He also displayed a nice handle that allows him to be a playmaker when he wasn't pouring in 3- pointers!
#229 Brandon Brown is long, smooth, and athletic. He has extremely long arms that allowed him to be versatile whether it was rebounding, defending or taking the ball to the hoop and finishing around the rim. He has a ton of potential. He also showed that he could shoot it from deep.
#478- Ty’Ron Denson is a big kid that showed great hustle and footwork. He never gave up on a play and always ran the floor. He can handle the ball well for his size. When he decided to post up- he dominated. He needs to post up more because that's where his money is!!
#321 Davion Edmon is a big athletic kid one of the best defenders at the camp plays with high energy on both ends. He never gave up on plays. That determination allowed him to get several chase down blocks. His energy created many put back opportunities.
#332 Henry Raynor played his way into the top 20 because of his hard work. He is a very long kid that plays with a high motor. He rebounded, block shots, ran the floor and finished well around the basket. He will continue to get better as he gets stronger.
# 419 Will Jeffries was a very skilled wing that can shoot and post. He has as a high motor, uses his length very well to defend and will definitely be a player to watch as high school begins. High major potential and one of the top 3 players in the nation.
#231 Kobe Johnson is a great size really good and a really good slasher with the ball. He has game similar to that of Jimmy Butler . He plays both ends of the floor really well showed his versatility going inside and out. Looking forward to watching him continue to grow on the national scene.
#402 Meechie Johnson has an IQ off the charts! He can see the floor very well. He has a very unselfish style of play. Once he gets everyone going, he looks for his shot. He knows how to pick his spots. One of the top 20 players in the nation.
#314 Randy Brady is a really good athlete and a great defender who can run the floor hard. He competes on every possession. He showed that he can do it all. Tennessee's finest, he showed why he’s one of the top 20 players in the nation. He was electrifying every time he touched the ball.
#317 Jai Smith is long and athletic big that has a great touch around the basket. He runs the floor hard, finishes with dunks in transition, and can rebound well in traffic. He is considered one of the top 10 players out of New York. Looking forward to seeing him at a Division one school one day.
#366 Darryl Peterson is a strong lefty who can finish in traffic well and can shoot the three off the dribble if given space. Very skilled and strong player. He has improved dramatically every time we see him play.
#384 Tae Perie is shooter! Can shoot the NBA three. He will shoot with hand or hand down He is very shift with the rock as well . He knows how use counter moves to get his shot off has a shooters mentality. One of the top point guards in the state of Ohio and who keeps improving every time we see him.
#316 Mozi Jackson is an athletic slasher with ridiculous athleticism. He shows flashes of being a dominant player who is fearless going to the rim and good rebounding guard as well.
#368 Ryan Conway is the best natural scorer in the camp who makes scoring the ball look so easy. He picks his spots when he wants to dominate a game. A walking bucket! You can easily see why he’s one of the top 20 players in the nation.
#351 Makail Cottingham does everything! Great two way player with a high motor. Hiis growth is what’s impressive. He is learning how to see the floor and use his teammates as well. Very impressive throughout the camp.

#354 Crowder Jones- This kid is workhorse. He outworks everyone on the court. He never gave up on a play. Showed he can shoot if from the outside and showed that he had moves on the block when he got his opportunities.
#236 Cameron Binder- I loved this kid's heart he played hard at all times. Small in stature but makes up for it with his heart. A tough nose competitor with nice handles and jump shot. He definitely deserves to be a top 20 player.
#221 Dewayne Perry this little guy gots buckets! He can score the ball in a variety of ways and is very shifty with the ball which it allows him to keep his defenders off balance. He will get better and better as he grows and gets stronger.
#353 Chase Tucker had a solid weekend . He has a knack for scoring. He scored by attacking the basket as well as using his jump shot. As he works on his handle, he will become an even bigger threat.
# 25 Carter Ruby has a high IQ. This kid knows how to play the game. He always plays under control. He scored well around the basket, hit open shots, and rebounded the ball very well.
#376 Ethan Smith is small guard , but understands how to play. He played with a great understanding of the game. He always took what was available to him. If he had the 3, he took it. On penetration, he always pulled up on time. He has a high basketball IQ.
#314 Xavier Perez was a confident baller with a nice first step. That quick first step allowed him to live in the paint. He also competed well on the defensive end.
#218 Ashwin Upadhyaya is a tough competitor small kid but played with heart. He consistently attacked the rim. He also scrapped hard on defense . He became a top 40 player because of his toughness.
#259 Cameron Gatson- I love this kids game. He had a good weekend. He didn't have the ball in his hands as much as usual, but when he did he always made a play. He has the ball on a sting allowing him to keep defenders off balance for the pull up or the drive.
#401 David Rice is a shooter! He will shoot the deep ball with a tight handle that helps him get to the rim or stop and shoot the midrange shot. Fearless shooter!
#275 Tyler Holder is a big time shooter. Hit some deep three's in the big games. He was really good with moving without the ball and finding the open spot on the floor. Tough competitor
#294 Cameron Terry is a lefty that likes to dance with the ball. A mis match problem because he can go inside and out. He has a good touch around the basket and has a nice mid range jump shot.
#431 Reese Evans is really aggressive with the ball and can get in the paint with the dribble. He stepped up on the big stage and showed that he belonged on the floor. He was a great teammate as well always encouraging them.
#266 Mathew Corronza was a workhorse. He ran the floor hard and played hard. This is a coach's kid who does things that may not show on the stat sheet but helps win games. He finishes well around the basket with either hand - what a great kid.
#225 Derek Forks can score the ball. Does a great job of mixing it up on offense will shoot the three mid range and also gets to the basket. This kid likes to compete on both ends of the floor.
#357 Brandon Drayer plays extremely hard and was always in the flow of the game making the right play and pass. He is a really solid player and very coachable kid.
#343 Parker Jones can do both- play inside and out. He likes to drive to the rim but ,with space ,will shoot the ball. He competes on both ends of the floor and also runs the floor well.
#350 Karstin Graham is a shooter! Hands down, man down! You have to get hands up or he will shoot. Competes on both ends and plays hard. He knows how to find the open areas on the floor and get his shot off.
#271 Brady Rankin- Plays with so much energy and has such a high motor. He can shoot the three and you can tell he loves the game. He has the ability to mix it up and get to the rack as wall. What a fun player to watch.
