8th GRADE EVALUATIONS #234 Isaiah Patton- Isaiah was a top 40 All Star who earned his spot this weekend. He shot the ball well this week and finished inside strong. He was definitely a player with tremendous upside and has a bright future. Look forward to seeing his growth.
#316 Nick Camacho- top 20 all star that played well in the game, Nick played on the ball and off the ball all weekend doing it all. At his best he was making plays and getting everyone involved.
#241 Mason Jakacki- was a top 40 all star this weekend. He played hard the entire weekend an played ever harder in the all star game! He's a winner.
#185 Antonio Smith- played a little point and shooting guard this weekend, did most of his work scoring the ball. In talks of being one of the top under the radar guards at camp.
#326 Hunter Drenth- a top 20 player and earned every vote. Hunter is known for his 3 point ability but this weekend he showed more, much more! Very high ceiling with a high IQ as well.
#231 Antonio Jones- couldn't be left alone this weekend or you can count the bucket before it left his hands! Great potential
#369 Landon Brown- was a top 40 all star this weekend, did what was expected all weekend.
#204 Michael Cougras- made the top 40 all star game and was solid all weekend. Mike played with other good players on his team but he set his self apart and earned him a spot in the all star game.
#198 Kyler Lacy- was a top 20 all star on the first play of games. Kylar is a big smooth lefty with a nice touch from outside. He locked up a spot for top 5 big in the camp.
#215 Stuart Smith- played in the top 40 game with a top 20 performance. Stuart was consistent around the basket all weekend, the lefty knows how to use his body well and locked down other bigs.
#195 Daylin Riley- showed out in the top 40 all star game, wasn't much he didn't do. Daylin has great potential if he continue to get better Watch out.
#305 Marquis Lewis- showed a lot of Hardwork and effort this weekend, Lewis set the tone on defense and showed a lot of yflashes on offense. Hard worker that wants to win.
#276 Josh Wanton- made the top 20 all star game but he's also in the talks as one of the best point guards at camp. Josh was shifting through defenses all weekend, didn't back down from any other guard and played with a chip on his shoulder.
#315 Jacob Pentasuglio- feared no one at camp this weekend, knows the game well and understands roles. He wasn't loud with the ball but his IQ spoke volumes.
#200 Chase Troyer- there wasn't a player out there that chase didn't want to guard, he made his money this weekend locking down defenders and taking names while doing it. Offense will come for him but defense wins games.
#224 Anthony Byrd- only thing that separated him from being a top 20 player is his motor. When Byrd plays hard from jump ball till the end he's a top 10 player any day. Once his motor stays on he will be special, overall good weekend and played great in the top 40 game.
#119 Aaron " Wax" Whitehead- Wax stole the show when he wanted to in the top 20 all star game. His size didn't mean anything when he made Kyrie type lay ups all weekend on everybody. Shot it ok but made all of his money getting to the basket and dropping crowd pleasing passes.
#235 Cole Fanin- should be named Cold, because when he shot the ball his jumper was ice cold all weekend. Shot is self right into the top 40 all star game and showed people why he deserved to play in the game.
#127 Cameron Brown- Cam helped in big ways this weekend to get his team wins. Seemed like he did whatever the coach said for his team to pull off wins, I could definitely see that he's a coaches dream!
#309 Lucas Mendez- you always knew when Luc was on the floor because he made known, every shot went up he was around that basket to make something happen. Luc was a team player all weekend that put his team first.
#275 Shammah Scott- turned some heads this weekend, showed flashes of a great ball player. Once those flashes go away and be more consistent room is going to have to be made for a spot in those all star games.
#244 Jaylin Johnson- has a good feel for the game. Handled pretty good and wasn't afraid to get in there and get after some loose balls. Can always count on him to get up and down the floor and be in every play.
#222 Nick Oldfield- got to the top 40 all star game by being consistent. Nick was a consistent ball player all weekend but showed he had a little more in his tank in the all star game.
#197 Jordan Jackson- was just too smooth for school all weekend. The smooth lanky guard shot the lights out from everywhere all weekend and also hit some big 3's in the top 20 all star game. Motor is going to be a question but not when it's on and he's in attack mode.
#232 CJ Fleming- There were not many people who could hold back CJ this weekend, he made big shots and finished with contact around the rim. Made the top 40 all star game but he wasn't satisfied and played good in the all star game.
#208 Jordan Bell- coach labeled him as their best defender all weekend. Jordan had a thing for locking down defenders and he didn't care who it was. Turned his defense into his offense and won games.
#141 O'Mahn Dobbins- shot his way into the top 20 all star game. The small guard shot the ball from anywhere on the court and had some nice passes to go along the jump shots. One of the top point guards in the building.
#199 Donovan Martin- was unknown in the beginning but left a top 40 all star. Hit big shots in games with game winning plays on defense. Earned every vote to be an all star.
#214 Jordan Reed- probably was one of the hardest working kids at camp. Even in the drills Jordan went extremely hard and his hard work paid off. Seem like he lived by the model "defense wins games"
#372 Grant Huffman- made the top 20 all star game but he also showed why he's a top 100 player in the country. Grant is often mentioned as one of the top 5 players overall at camp, had great weekend.
#362 Tre Williams- had a solid weekend, showed some flashes of being good and also showed at times he can just be on the court. Once he realizes that he can play with anybody, he's going to be a good player.
#209 Gavin Williams- played really hard the entire weekend, offense wasn't clicking for him so he made it up on defense. Was very impressed with his feel for the game and you can see a lot of potential in him.
#193 Dominic Costello- shot his way into the top 40 all star game. Not only was Nick knocking down shots he was defending as well. Great knowledge of the game and wants to win at everything.
#228 Elias Cruz- made a name for himself at NEO this weekend, this camper was all over the place on the floor and a great, coachable kid. Understands the game with a little more time in the gym he's going to be name you will hear about in the near future.
#221 Markell Litt- was above average all weekend, nothing was hurting his game. Showed he was a winner and put his team first and worried about everything else later. He is a hard worker with a lot of game awareness.
#186 Rico Small- was quiet the first 2 games but woke up on day 2, realized he could play with these guys and made his way onto the top 40 list.
#255 Robert Pollard- scored inside and outside this weekend. He was aggressive on both end of the floor. Used his athleticism to move around on the floor and make plays.
#816 Ladria Johnson- turned some heads this weekend. Made some good plays on both ends of the floor. Great attitude that's all about the team and winning ball games.
#104 Colby Stockmaster-Colby made the top 40 all star game and made a statement in the game. His best game was in the all star game and was living by "big lights shines on big players" he lived up to it.
#325 Nehemiah Benson- made the top 20 game but did with ease. The long wing got busy inside and outside, was definitely a mix match problem for a lot of defenders and he used it to his advantage.
#243 Montorie Foster- made the top 20 all star game and put on a show! Foster was hitting big time 3's and finishing at the basket. Foster did that all weekend and is in talks about being a top 5 overall player at camp.
#307 Brent Darby- was the Draymond Green of camp, the long wing did work outside and inside. Has a high motor with some finishing touches on his IQ the sky is the limit. Made some impressive plays in the top 40 all star game.
#237 JK Williams- made the top 20 all star game off of pure heart. This guard was fearless and went at everybody, JK is in talks of being one of the best guards at camp and possibly top overall at camp.
#258 D'Muntize Owens- held is own all weekend. He wasn't afraid of making mistakes because he made it up on defense on the other end. Goes hard till there no more going.
#365 Mikyese Frank- was know for his great passes this weekend. Passed up good shots to get great shots, a true winner that wants to see his teammates shine as well.
#256 Larry Arnold- went to work inside and outside. Handled it pretty good and could also make somethings happen off the ball too. Great team player that you can tell loves the game.
#253 John Hughley- "Big John" was a beast all weekend. The big man finished every layup and got every rebound as well. Even though everyone knew him as the tallest kid at camp, you also knew when he played he was one of the best kids on the floor.
#89 Timmy Blevins- Timmy played with a chip on his shoulder all weekend, when asked he felt he was one of the best point guards at camp he wanted to show why. Well he did, played well on both ends of the floor and showed amazing toughness. Top 40 all star.
#220 Caleb Marshall- came in unknown and leaving out one of the top bigs at camp. His athleticism put him over the top and gave him a name that nobody really knew. Was a top 20 all star and deserved it.
#206 Rashon Redding- was a force inside and outside. Rashon didn't shy away from the competition all weekend, you can tell he wants to compete at a high level and that's what he did. Competitor that wants to win on all levels.
#218 Jalen Dials- played in the top 20 all star game and went to work in it. Jalen was consistent all weekend, he's probably walking away with the best scorer at camp.
#20 Alfonso Pickens- played his way into the top 40 game by being on point at everything he did. From defense to scoring wasn't much he wasn't doing this weekend. Understood the game and made some nice plays.
#245 Jesse Laster- played in the top 20 but didn't show what he was doing in the regular games. Jesse was throwing down dunks in traffic and flashy dunks on fast breaks. Shot it ok but definitely made a name for himself at camp.
#364 Quentin Santillan- Q was the glue for his team, did whatever coached asked him to do for the team to win. Has some skills but with a little more work he can be really good.
#87 Asher Kee- played with passion an aggression this weekend. Always was aware where the ball was at and attacked strong when he had the opportunity. Something he needs to work on but let his defense do the talking.
#252 Dylan Froelich- was hungry from jump, went hard in drills and followed it into the games. Even though he didn't make the all star teams he played like he wanted it and did it with style.
#249 Brian Vega- Brian made some good plays with the ball when he got it. Great knowledge of the game and did other things good besides score. High motor and a lot of potential.
#122 Quentin Richardson- was a crowd pleaser this weekend, from his slick cross over to his wicked jump shot, Q made some noise. Made the top 20 game but also was in talks about being one of the top point guards in camp.
#103 AJ Messina- jump shot was on point this weekend, every one knew if you left AJ alone you can count that basket. Besides shoot he was great at decision making an wanted to win ball games.
#202 Andy Barba- was probably the most improved player at camp, Andy has grew maybe 5 inches in a year and added more to his game. Besides shooting he also is going strong to the basket now and locking down on defense. Had a great showing in the top 20 game.
#Darion Henry- not much to say but "Man Child" Henry has a frame of a NFL linebacker right now in the 8th grade. You can tell he's a top 100 kid because he does it all. In talks of being top 5 player overall at camp.
#116 Sam Guzik- not too many kids Ive seen play as hard as Sam. He knew where to be at all times on the floor. Respected his coaches and teammates and was a joy to watch play.
#327 Elijah Jeru Blacks- came to play every game, needs some work but you can tell he loves the game and want to be good.
#317 Dylon Jones- was known for getting to the basket, but not just getting there getting there with ease. Needs to work on jump shot and when it all comes together, watch out!
#121 Tevin Jackson- no surprise of the play of Tevin, he shot the ball, ran his team, and did it with a smile. Coaches dream to coach, showed why he's a top 100 kid and put on a show in the top 20 game
